Fabrian is a speculative selection to beat Answered Promise and Double Ransom in this class F handicap. This a moderate contest in which nothing stands out, but Fabrian appears to be the pick of the bunch, especially on his third to Million Percent in a better race than this at Newmarket in August. He should be suited by the drop back to a mile after failing to see out the 10 furlong trip here last time, and should be in the shake-up at least. Answered Promise was good enough to score on Turf at Newcastle in August but failed to shine on his Polytrack debut behind Lyrical Way. Double Ransom finished nearly seven lengths ahead of him that day, and despite being slightly worse off at the weights, should uphold the form. Pancakehill and Mister Clinton are course and distance winners so cannot be ruled out entirely, but for the winner we return to Fabrian.
