In depth

Verdict

Mccools Gold was second at Nottingham recently and won at Bath last year when Danglydontask was well beaten. But the latter made a winning return in April when just getting the better of AKAVIT. Ed de Giles charge went on to score himself when successful at Chepstow and then found only one too good off today’s mark at Ripon last week. He gets the nod to come out best today. Ruler Of The Nile was second over 2m at Wolverhampton when last on the Flat while Daghash drops in class as he slips further down the weights.
