    Verdict

    Nortron would appear to be the one to beat in this finale having only found Eastern Racer a neck too good over this trip at Chester last month as Lamsa's recent second came on the all-weather. But the once-raced PETIT TRIANON can only improve on her third at Salisbury, when she was slowly away. Roger Charlton's filly travelled strongly into the race but couldn't quicken with the front pair in the closing stages - she'll know more today.
