This year’s trials take place on the all-weather course and the Godolphin fillies Eternal Hope and Sunset Point have both won on Polytrack. William Buick partners the former but preference is for the Ballydoyle filly BE HAPPY. The latter placed behind an unbeaten Andre Fabre odds-on favourite over 1m2f in a Group 3 in France on her reappearance and this extra distance will suit. Bright Diamond placed in both the Prestige Stakes and the Fillies’ Mile last term and can figure if lasting home while Perfect Prophet and Ferrari Queen also put their ability to stay this far to the test. The Gosdens have a good recent record in this and soft ground may have been an excuse for Ghara’s no show at Newbury on her return.
