But it’s difficult to ignore anything from Roger Varian’s yard at present and LYDFORD makes most appeal having found only one too good at Newcastle a fortnight ago and he gets the vote despite a 3lb rise. Scampi has a shout on recent placed efforts including Goodwood last time and Pride Of England is not out of this back on today’s surface while Pure Bubbles is preferred to Twilight Twist and Red October of the remainder.
