Verdict

Aidan O’Brien has won four of the last 10 renewals so Kew Gardens is expected to improve on a disappointing third over 1m1f in the Feilden at Newmarket last month. Andrew Balding trained the runner-up in the Feilden which points to the chances of KING AND EMPIRE, who made a winning debut at Kempton in October and is currently a big price for the Derby. So is Corelli, who scored over today’s trip at Yarmouth on his reappearance and should make a bold bid. Knight To Behold beat a subsequent winner at Newmarket on his debut and is preferred to Star Of Southwold while Thrave’s pedigree suggests he’ll stay the trip having won over 7f at Headquarters in September.
