      Verdict

      LIGHTNING CHARLIE won on the Polytrack here in April and has past form on soft going with a placed effort at Goodwood. Amanda Perrett’s charge may prove good enough. There was some cut in the ground when Shanghai Glory was second at Salisbury while Cultured Knight occupied the same finishing position in the the other division of the same handicap at Salisbury but has disappointed since. Great Expectations was placed at Thirsk on his penultimate start and won over this course and distance last year.
