A competitive finale can go the way of MISTER NEW YORK; Sparton Duke and Fiefdom rate as the main dangers. The selection has been a little disappointing on his last two starts on the turf but he is a different proposition on the all-weather and he has got some rock solid form at this venue. He is arguably better over 6f so that would be a slight negative, but nonetheless he looks to hold solid claims back at his favourite track. Sparton Duke is another that is better on the all-weather than on the turf and he is certainly better over 6f rather than today's trip. He should go well but he may have to settle for a place. Fiefdom won over this course and distance last time out but he was all-out to get his head in front that day and he shaped as though an extra furlong would benefit him, so he could be one to swerve this afternoon. Super Frank has got winning form over this course and distance but he looks to be in the grip of the handicapper at present and we will stick with Mister New York who is put forward as the tentative pick.
