QUEEN ELEANOR is the selection ahead of Greenisland and Applause. John Gosden's filly is a half sister to a number of juvenile winners and while she does not hold any fancy entries at this stage of her career, enough has been thought of her as to leave it so late in the season to get cracking. Greenisland ran above what was anticipated at Newmarket on debut. If she learns to settle, she could be useful. Jeremy Noseda's team are in fair nick so Applause can be anticipated to have come on for her Kempton effort. Carita Mia is related to a number of winning milers so a bold show is not out of the question. Hazy Dancer is particularly well bred and is watched with a view to next season. Water Hen has the edge of experience though hasn't quite lived up to the ability of her relatives. A difficult race without reference to the market and Queen Eleanor is the most tentative of picks.
