      Verdict

      Jimmy Elder has won twice over this trip but was last in a claimer at Salisbury on his latest start and is high enough in the weights now. BELLE BAYARDO clearly found 5f too short at Chepstow last month but boasted consistent form over this trip and in this grade previously. He's unlikely to be far away again here and is one of the few who arrive in decent nick. Afkar is probably better over further and gets little respite from the handicapper, though the booking of Fallon is a plus. Gung Ho Jack looks best of the rest.
