LOPINOT has a likeable profile and after a decent run in defeat on his last start gets the vote in another tight handicap with King Canute given a chance to build on victory last time and Jord is an old favourite who might get involved in a race that won't take much winning. The selection has a decent strike rate for one with so many races under the belt and his latest performance when only beaten by a subsequent winner shows he's still got what it takes. This will be his first foray over seven furlongs for a while but with a score over it in the past he looks the leading player. King Canute made waves on his return from over a year out to find just the one too good before scoring on his last run with both efforts coming at Kempton. It's that track that has seen his best performances on the all-weather but with still relatively few races under the belt he could have more to offer. The two we've looked at are the only ones coming into this is any sort of form but Jord is given a squeak of getting involved off a competitive rating but with nothing else make much appeal the vote stays with Lopinot.
