Course and distance winner Miss Glory Be is back to somewhere near her best and is expected to go well, but on this occasion we will take a chance on Piquet, with Mrs Brown and Joey Perhaps both capable of taking a hand in the finish. The key to this event may be a fillies handicap over course and distance last month. The selection won the event, with Miss Glory Be close up in third and Mrs Brown back in fifth. Miss Glory be is a pound better off for just over half a length, where as Mrs Brown is three pounds better off for a six length beating. Piquet was always going well behind the leaders, and had only to be shaken up to score, so won a lot more easily than the winning margin would suggest.Mrs Brown did have to overcome a very slow start so may be the one to chase home the selection. Joey Perhaps looks best of the others having finished third to Gifted Flame in a similar race at Carlisle last time. Not an easy contest to weigh up, but Piquet does as least know how to win and gets our uneasy vote.
