    MONGOOSE ALERT is hard to oppose. Jim Best's charge found a couple too good dropped back in trip at Wolverhampton last time but had rattled off a quick hat-trick before that. Those wins included two over 1m4f and he should have no trouble returning to winning ways over today's distance. Layla's Dancer went close at Kempton recently and could be the one to chase the selection home as he enjoys a fitness advantage over October's Ffos Las winner Quinsman. Eton Fable is out of form and looks up against it on these terms.
