HIGH RANSOM didn't do a lot wrong when only going down by a nose to hot favourite Tigre D'Aron on his hurdling debut at Wetherby. Though a maiden on the Flat, Micky Hammond's four-year-old had plenty of stamina so should appreciate this stiffer test and will be hard to beat if handling this much softer surface. Si Bien is probably the danger having got off the mark over fences at Newcastle last month though it will be interesting to see if there's any market support for newcomer Odin's Raven, who won an all-weather maiden at Southwell last month. Bow Badger was pulled up at Market Rasen last time but won over C&D in October and has place claims today, despite the penalty.
