Kefalonia has shown some promise for Barry Hills and has to be considered having shown great promise on the Polytrack at Wolverhampton last time but it is hard to get away from PYRUS TIME, who gets the vote over Buckie Boy. Henry Cecil's colt disappointed when favourite for a maiden at Windsor two starts ago but he ran better at Yarmouth last time and has to be considered. Hugh Morrison's Some Sunny Day has shown promise in races over a mile and could be of interest if staying this longer trip but she is far from certain to do so, even on the Polytrack. Layer Cake has run better in his last two starts but needs to improve to trouble the judge. Ed Dunlop's Satwa Moon looks the pick of the newcomers in the race and could be of interest representing a stable in good form but a safer option looks to be Pyrus Time. Stan Moore's gelding has shown a consistent level of form in maidens on the Polytrack and again in a handicap last time and, while he keeps finding one too good, he may be good enough to gain a deserved first success today.
