tracked leader for 5f, soon weakened
always behind until some headway final furlong, never dangerous
led, ridden from 2f out, headed and hung left inside final furlong, one pace
chased leaders to over 2f out, soon beaten
in touch on outer, ridden and weakened over 2f out
held up, ridden to chase leader 2f out, stayed on to lead inside final furlong, ridden out
in touch, ridden and weakened quickly from 2f out
always towards rear and struggling over 2f out
behind, never a factor
steadied start, settled in rear, headway over 2f out, kept on final furlong, not troubled leaders
mid-division, kept on under pressure to take 3rd inside final furlong, never dangerous
held up behind, lost touch from halfway, tailed off final 2f
Another tough race to call here for punters with many in with chances on their best form but the main protagonists look to be Quantum Leap, Irony and San Antonio and the tentative vote is given to Irony. The selection bounced back to form when beating Gifted Flame last time out. That form has since been franked and despite his penalty he is still well weighted on his best form and he is taken to win again. Quantum Leap rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Franksalot. However he was all out on that occasion and he may struggle under his penalty. San Antonio is another worthy of respect on his best form but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him when second behind Presumptive last time and for that reason he is over looked. Law Breaker is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is another that looks weighted up to his best. Of the remainder Grizedale is well in on his best form but is hard to win with. However he could run well at a price. This is a trappy affair and stakes should be kept to a minimum but for the winner we return to Irony.
