Not a very strong handicap and one where ALFIE TUPPER might be good enough to stay ahead of the field this time, while Atacama Sunrise might go well again and Sedgwick is interesting after a lengthy break. The last-named represents a yard going well and has not been seen since April 2008. His sole success came in a soft ground Nottingham handicap from a mark of 60, way back in May 2007. This has always been his trip and presumably connections have persevered because they think there is prize money to be won, so if there is market support for him it will probably be significant. Alfie Tupper is selected, however, and he also proved himself over this trip and on the surface last time when just collared close home to finish runner-up behind Chalice Welcome. He has won from higher marks elsewhere in the not-too-distant past and now that we have seen a return to better form we will side with him. Atacama Sunrise was the surprise winner of a course and distance claimer last time and with just a 2lb rise is likely to again be competitive, while Pachakutek did not appear to get home over 1m 1f last time, so still has to prove his stamina, in spite of his pedigree. Marmooq has conditions and trip to suit and is weighted to be competitive without winning and we will stick with Alfie Tupper to get it right this time.
