This handicap looks to be between the top few in the weights with the verdict going to CAN CAN STAR ahead of Torrens and Siena Star. The selection has form on his side over rival Siena Star who was a head back from him on both horses last runs. They meet here on almost identical terms so it's hard to see how that will be over turned. In addition the form seems rock solid from the pick's penultimate outing with the winner going on to score again. So with the form against Siena Star, Torrens looks the best placed to challenge here. He found just one too good last time and shaped as if his turn will come soon. He'll be aided here running off the same rating. Barton Sands has a pretty good record at this track and over this distance. He's rated 11lbs higher than his last victory, over a longer trip here, and seems to be coming to terms with the extra burden. He may need a slight reprieve from the assessor to score again however he won't be too far away here however this should be a race won by Can Can Star.
