      Verdict

As you'd expect, a bit of a headscratcher with Christian Bendix, Rosiella and Shirley Oaks considered, but the vote goes to Hugo The Boss. Hugo The Boss won over course and distance in February from a mark of 52, and holds a big chance if repeating that effort. Christian Bendix ran fairly well from a poor draw when third over course and distance last time and, better berthed today, has to be considered, while Rosiella showed she retained ability with a fair run at Salisbury in June. Once again, if she can run to that level again, she would have to be considered. Shirley Oaks is a course and distance winner that has shown enough in July and October to suggest that she has to be respected if in that type of form again. Of the others, Multahab looks fairly weighted, Urban Calm won from a mark of 48 on the soft at Warwick in July, but others are preferred by us today, and Yamato Pink holds claims based on April course and distance form, and is interesting that she drops back to this trip now following a few runs over further. Do not rule her out but, for the selection we return to Hugo The Boss.
