The first of two fillies’ Listed races on today’s card and this one looks ultra-competitive but POTAPOVA should still be in the firing-line. She was only beaten half-a-length dropped into this grade at Newmarket and did win on Polytrack last year. Zellie finished fourth in last year’s 1000 Guineas and has only had one run so far for the Gosdens when beaten a neck at Goodwood in May. Julia Augusta has had just the four career starts so far while Queen Aminatu seeks back-to-back victories in this contest and is very much at home on this surface. Her stablemate Good Gracious has found only one too good in this grade the last twice with Nigiri another three-year-old with decent claims on her defeat of Coco Jamboo at York and subsequent second in a Group 3 at Doncaster.
