In depth

Verdict

The runners with experience look nothing special so we will side with the newcomer Promoted Deputy, with Improvise and French School the likely dangers. The Godolphin juveniles continue to run well and this daughter of Deputy Minister looks set to add their successes. She should be best over a slightly longer trip in time, but this seven furlongs should be well within her compass. French School is trained by David Loder, and ran no sort of race on her debut at Folkestone. This well bred filly is obviously capable of better and must be watched for any market moves. Clive Brittain's Improvise showed plenty of promise on her debut when finishing sixth behind Park Romance at Newmarket, with improvement expected she will be a danger to all. The betting market will be an invaluable guide in this event, but Promoted Deputy will probably start a short price and looks the one to be on.
