The tongue strap proved to be helpful for CAVENDISH ROAD last time out when second here on the turf and it is applied again in the hope he can go one better. He has every chance against this opposition, although the race is competitive with six previous course and distance winners in the line up. Lady Kent won on this surface here in May but although a disappointing position subsequently when last seen here, she was very slowly away and this put paid to her chances. However, it might be a worrying sign that she dwelt at the start on her most recent effort at Epsom too. Leelu won two starts ago here and although she faces a difficult task against this competition she will enjoy the trip and could stay on for a place.
