    Verdict

    All four runners share the same rating but Al Udeid arrives out of form after a couple of poor efforts this season. Whipper Snapper is expected to improve for his comeback run at Salisbury and Star of Rohm finally opened his account over 6f at Nottingham last month. The latter looks likely to stay this extra furlong but there are no doubts about STRICTLY BALLROOM lasting home as she went close over a mile at Goodwood a fortnight ago. She tried to make all on that occasion and the adoption of similar tactics would make her hard to catch in this.

    Strictly Ballroom (IRE) 16-1 (9-2) Led, narrowly headed inside final 2f, chased leader until over 1f out, rallied on inside to well held 2nd final 100 yards,, 2nd of 6, 1l behind Auction (9-11) at Goodwood 1m 3yo fll hcp 0-80 (4) gd in May.
