Verdict

Bath maiden winner Marhaba Malyoon and French raider War Is Over are the only ones in this with Derby entries but it would be a surprise if either are good enough. MEASURING TIME and Dordogne are clear of the field on official ratings but, after winning the Feilden on his reappearance, the latter was tailed off in the Classic Trial at Sandown last time. Richard Hannon's colt finished second in that Sandown race and there is enough stamina in his pedigree to suggest he'll improve for today's longer trip. He should have the beating of Borug though the half-brother to Godolphin's Arc hero Marienbard will also appreciate this greater test of stamina, as will Hurricane Higgins, who has done little wrong in two starts over 1m2f so far. Laughing Jack won at Windsor last month and has it all to do on that form.
