Iffraj has bags of speed and and can put that to good use in this competitive handicap, with Prince Of Thebes, Jedburgh and New Seeker just three lively dangers. As this race is normally run at Ascot, the emphasis would be on stamina, but that is not the case on this track where speed is as vital as anything, so with that in mind, Iffraj fits the bill. The Michael Jarvis-trained four-year-old has not had a lot of racing, but has impressed when sighted. This race has been the target since he hacked up over six furlongs at Kempton last month on his return from a year off, and he is entered in a Group 1 race at York later in the year, although the Wokingham may be amore realistic target. Connections obviously rate him highly, and a mark of 92 does not look harsh, so he appears to have a lot going for him. Jedburgh and Prince Of Thebes finished first and second in a decent handicap at Newmarket last time and the latter is well enough weighted to turn the tables. Both should go well along with New Seeker, second in the Lincoln before trying to make all in the Spring Cup at Newbury. The drop back in trip will be in his favour, and he too is sure to be prominent. Court Masterpiece can prove best of Ed Dunlop's pair with Kieren Fallon booked, but we return to Iffraj from the in-form Michael Jarvis stable as the answer.
