Verdict

CAPE MELODY overcame her usual slow start and her jockey dropping his whip close home to beat Elhamri over C&D in January. The latter has boosted the form with a couple of subsequent victories and George Baker's mare looks capable of following up here. Spinning Bailiwick could prove the chief threat as she found only the rejuvenated Ivory Silk too good last time but had won her previous two outings. Mrs Boss may be capable of better on her return from a lay-off, but Mary's Pet and Bold Ring look pretty exposed off their current marks.
