Ravenna has finished a close up third in each of her two starts and Marcus Tregoning's filly is hard to oppose in a race that should not take much winning where the main dangers look to be Not Too Taxing and Alfresco. The last mentioned showed only a modicum of ability in two starts on turf last term but built on those efforts when making his debut on sand here last month. Pat Eddery's gelding would need to improve again to trouble the selection though and is probably best watched. Grand Lucre has shown signs of ability but may do better when returned to further, while Walter Swinburn's Gypsum lacks a previous outing and is probably going to need the run. Doctor Ned was well held on his debut and of more interest may be Richard Hannon's Not Too Taxing, who has shown ability but is more exposed than Ravenna who looks the one to be on.
