        Verdict

        It’s too soon to write off Mr Poy given a promising debut at Newbury last year but he was well beaten at Kempton earlier this week behind First Receiver. The latter is trained by Sir Michael Stoute and he introduces LEHWAIYLA, a half-sister to three winners and expected to go well on her debut. Epic Endeavour and Billy The Squid are other newcomers to note with preference for the former but City Escape went backwards last time and it remains to be seen if Oksana Astankova has improved from last year’s modest debut.
