    Verdict

    Thora has the most recent outing though made only a modest debut effort at Kempton and steps up in distance. MACKAAR is preferred despite carrying a penalty as he won over a similar trip at Wolverhampton in November with a subsequent dual winner back in fourth and Roger Varian’s yard is in fine form. Damon Runyon ended last year with a good effort at Newmarket and is not out of this either representing John Gosden but Starlight Red has plenty of improving to do on the evidence of last year’s introduction at Kempton.
