In depth

Verdict

In a tough end to the day we think the unexposed CANDYFLOSS GIRL can follow up on a victory last time out with Marjolly looking value for a place and Knightfire bound to give his running again. Despite showing a bit of temperament on her last run the selection still scored with a bit in hand. She hasn't had a great deal of racing so can improve but she might not have to show anymore to win this. Marjolly is a full nine pounds heavier than when scoring well at Kempton in January. He's run well in a couple of plating class races since and although perhaps too heavy to win this place money is a distinct possibility. Knightfire has found just the one too good on each of his last four starts and now connections try Lingfield for the first time in order to go one better. He should give his running again but we wait to see if he's suited by this quicker surface. Volatilis is a last time out winner and under a decent claiming jockey should give his running again but Candyfloss Girl won well enough on her last start to suggest another win here.
