Verdict
The three last time out winners in this handicap field seem to hold the best chances and out of the trio FREDDIE'S GIRL is given the vote ahead of Vito Volterra and Areeda. The selection won just her second handicap start last time when displaying a likeable attitude to run on to victory. She's up five pounds for that success but she has scope to improve and with an on-form pilot in the plate she looks the safest option. Areeda just got up to win a Wolverhampton maiden on her all-weather debut last time out. That was over seven furlongs but the step down in trip should be no bother and with the form looking good from her solid run at Newmarket two starts back she's not that badly treated on handicap debut. Vito Volterra has been on form in plating company and shouldn't be ignored now in a handicap for the first time despite having more on his plate. Kylladdie and Private Ottley are both running well at present and have a chance if building on those recent efforts but Freddie's Girl seems to have less to prove than her rivals so is given the verdict.
