Saucy has leading claims, and is taken to repel the challenges of Earl Kraul, Elms Schoolboy and Comeintothespace to name but a few. Saucy would appear to have plenty going for her here, having won two of her last three starts, including here in December. Tony Carroll's mare appeared to be given too much to do when second here a fortnight ago, but hopefully that was just a blip, and she can be fancied to make amends off what is still a fair handicap mark compared to last year. Earl Kraul was also a beaten favourite when third round here on his last outing on the Flat. That was still a good effort though, and he has since been out over hurdles at Plumpton. Elms Schoolboy has yet to recapture his best form, but Comeintothespace has been doing well, and has the services of up-and-coming William Buick in the saddle. Eddie Ahern partners Laugh 'n Cry who is worth a mention for that fact alone, but we are happy to side with Saucy.
