Verdict

Currently around 10/1 for the Winter Derby, AL ZARAQAAN (NAP) has leading claims in this trial. He landed the odds in a conditions' race at Newcastle with the minimum of fuss on last month’s debut for Archie Watson’s yard and a bold bid is expected. Fancy Man hasn’t raced since winning over a longer trip here in September though his yard is in flying form while the progressive King Of The South also drops down in trip having landed a hat-trick of handicaps on the Tapeta. Living Legend has been thereabouts in handicaps but will find this tougher while stablemate Rose Of Kildare returns from a lengthy absence having been good enough to win the Musidora at York back in 2020. Starry Eyes has little chance on these terms.
