        Verdict

        Sofias Number One would have every chance if taking part but was engaged to run at Wolverhampton last night. This can go to JO BOY who returned to action with a promising run at Kempton in December. David Simcock's colt finished third on that occasion and, with fourth-placed Hippique having since won, the form looks solid enough. Better is expected from Timpanist with a recent outing under her belt and the betting may give the best clue to the chances of newcomers Songburst and Electric Blue Sky.
