Verdict

Vortex has conditions to suit here and can land this race at the expense of Jack Sullivan and Capricorn Run. The selection had dropped to a winnable mark to win here over seven furlongs last time out. He has always been a good horse and connections have picked another ideal opportunity to land himself back in the winners enclosure here. Jack Sullivan was another in winning from last time out and has been a good servant to Gerard Butler during his career. He has won in Dubai and has performed well in defeat in a number of top races. He is arguably a better horse on the all weather than the turf and therefore has to be respected. Capricorn Run has been in blinding form this autumn and winter. Although beaten last time out he had previously been in winning form around here on three occasions. He is another that seems to save his best for this track so connections will be hoping for another big run. But for the winner we return to Vortex.
