Quite a valuable contest that has attracted a good field, with the selection being Eisteddfod ahead of Presumptive and Waterside. Connections felt that they had ironed out a problem with Eisteddfod prior to his Kempton winning run and, given that it looked as though they were right there, he can go well from his current rating. Waterside defied the handicapper by winning at Kempton last time and the same again is not ruled out. Racer Forever was not disgraced in last season's Jersey Stakes and debuts on the all-weather now, while Party Boss, who has now risen in the weights, is weighted to confirm form with Ceremonial Jade based on February course and distance form. Captian Hurricane would have to recapture his juvenile form if he is to feature, while Wavertree Warrior has to improve again based on his recent course and distance win. Zidane is a potential improver and Presumptive got the 'one to watch out for' description based on his Kempton run last time, where he was behind Waterside and ahead of Ceremonial Jade. He is one to watch out for in the betting. Finally, Bobski is on a three-timer but needs to keep the improvement coming, while Moayed is well-weighted if getting it all together, although his win rate is not good. Once again, then, the selection is Eisteddfod.
