QUINCE may be the answer to this conundrum with Bridgewater Boys and Wind Flow other key components in an open race. Jeff Pearce has been enjoying a decent winter and Quince has leading claims on official ratings. Winning hasn't come easily to him on the all-weather but he's made the frame on three of his five visits to the track and should be involved. Wind Flow went close in a handicap over course and distance on his latest start; he has a bit to find at the weights with some of these but his current form counts for plenty. Bridgewater Boys was below par last time over a trip that might have stretched him but he's a prolific winner at the course with five successes from just seven starts and is short-list material. Alrafid and Eureka Moment are others that rate a mention but Quince wins the vote.
