Labrett is a sporting selection to land the showcase race at the expense of Dance On The Top and Linning Wine. Plenty in with chances here, but the recent return to form of the Gaye Kelleway stable augurs well for the chance of Labrett. The seven-year-old gained his biggest success to date at Epsom last summer, and has shown that he relishes the faster Polytrack surface with two wins here to date. His stable was out of form when he finished down the field here a fortnight ago, but expect an improved performance this time. Dance On The Top clearly goes well fresh so it is debatable whether he can follow up his latest success under a penalty, but he may reach the frame. Linning Wine ran too badly to be true over two furlongs longer 18 days ago and is better judged on earlier efforts here. Serieux comes from a stable that does not run too many on the all-weather but has an absence to overcome, while Internationalguest has failed to see out the trip since being upped to a mile and a half. He should fare better, but Labrett is the one to beat if able to reproduce his best form.
