After a series of runs during which he seemed sure to win sooner or later, Highly Sprung threw in a bad one last time and it will be interesting to see if he bounces back here. He has every chance on those previous efforts to play a leading role if doing so. Tanasoq has to be shortlisted off the bottom rung as a lighly-raced 4-y-o likely to improve and who shaped with distinct promise on reappearance over this trip. Goring represents a yard in the best of form but COMPAS SCOOBIE (NAP) is the choice.
