In depth

Verdict

SEA FLAWLESS, a 140,000gns yearling and a sister to a Group 3 winner, started odds-on for her debut at Newcastle and had no problems getting off the mark. She looks destined for better things. Capstan has been bought for hurdling but pulled up at Newbury last month. He ran quite well on his debut for Lydia Richards over 1m4f at Kempton but looks up against it. Brian Ellison has added the former Joseph O'Brien-trained Explorers Way to his stable and he's travelled a long way for this while it's almost a year since Old Harrovian was well beaten on his only start at Newmarket.
