    Verdict

Clockmaker made all at Chester last week and should go well again despite a penalty given he scored off a higher mark last year. But SOLAR FLAIR (NAP) landed a higher grade handicap than this at Newmarket by six lengths on his latest start and William Knight's charge can shrug 6lb extra and strike again while the iron is hot. Royal Normandy has a tougher task after winning a Class 6 contest at Leicester a fortnight ago but the lightly-raced Prefect is getting closer and is not easily dismissed now handicapping for the first time.
