Darryl Holland is an interesting engagement for Bramcote Lane but we're going to award our vote to The Dagger. The selection was well backed in the morning prior to his debut for Gary Moore but failed to mount a serious challenge. That run came over eleven furlongs at Kempton and he raced prominently before fading. Prior to that, he had caught the eye finishing well from off the pace but that was in March 2007. Thus, he's entitled to have derived considerable benefit from the run and we're prepared to keep the faith. Play Up Pompey has been running well enough of late to suggest that he could figure in the shake-up, the in-form Dawson Creek is unexposed at this trip whilst Bramcote Lane has plenty to prove on the book. Kings Topic met trouble in running last time but that was a promising start to the new campaign and this course specialist looks sure to mount a bold bid with Sanders booked. However, we're going to side with a more speculative selection in The Dagger.
