WAVERTREE WARRIOR has gone well at this time of the season and he can see off Wunder Strike and Fly By Nelly. The selection does have an absence to overcome but he has gone well when fresh and is potentially very well handicapped versus some of his earlier form and if fit enough to do himself justice, looks worthy of market interest. Wunder Strike has been a revelation in recent months. A notably quirky individual, all credit must go to the jockeys and the trainer for learning how to humour him into cooperating rather than combating his pilots. Fly By Nelly put up her best performance to date at Kempton so could be capable of further improvement. Eastern Gift hasn't run at this course since finishing second when trained by Richard Hannon. He takes his chances for Gay Kelleway. Dr Wintringham ran a fair race at Kempton on his latest start though has been raised accordingly by the handicapper. Goodbye Cash has ran a few moderate races at Wolverhampton recently so connections are clearly hoping for a change of form for a change of track. Fine Ruler is best of the rest. Wavertree Warrior makes most appeal in a race where there are plenty of imponderables.
