TIRADITO is the call in this maiden with Emma Jean Lass and Abhar others to make the shortlist. Marco Botti's runner was a bitter disappointment at Kempton Park last time out so our selection is not without reservations. He has gone well on a left-handed track in the past and if capable of demonstrating his turf form he has to be with a distinct chance in what is essentially a moderate race. Emma Jean Lass had plenty of chances last year and is sensibly switched back to the polytrack having failed to act at Southwell. Abhar is bred to be at his best over middle distances. He plugged on at this venue over six furlongs without troubling the principals. Ant Music has been well turned over in nurseries on the turf in the past. He failed to fire in a handicap at Wolverhampton over a mile and a furlong though there were some progressive types in opposition. Oceans Edge is a half-brother to the smart sprinter Striking Ambition, though it is worrying that he has not seen a racecourse until his fourth year. Gibraltar Lass has neither troubled the judge or the bookmakers and on a third appearance, may make more appeal once sent handicapping.
