Persian Express is likely to appreciate the return to a mile and Barry Hills' filly is given the nod ahead of Fidelia and Sesmen. The selection looked progressive when racking up two quick wins on fast ground earlier this year but has gone off the boil slightly since. She has had excuses (slower ground and drop in trip not suiting) so assuming that this isn't one hard race too far this season, she should run well from her plum draw. Sesmen, one of several three-year-old's in the lineup, is fairly treated at the weights and having won on her sole start on the all-weather at Kempton, she should run well now reunited with jockey Oscar Urbina (two of three wins under him). Fidelia is consistent and Geoff Wragg's filly should be suited by a return to this trip, whilst Lady Livius needs to bounce back to form and is arguably better over a shorter trip. Wagtail, a course and distance winner, drops in trip and she has a good strike-rate so cannot be overlooked, whilst at a price Chatila could bounce back to form and run into a place. An open Listed race, and we will side with Persian Express.
