Not a bad race here and one that can be taken by Polar Magic, with Glencalvie, Eccentric and Moors Myth all likely to be on the premises. The selection makes his all weather debut and as such is unexposed here after two decent runs so far. A debut win on soft at Thirsk over this trip was followed by a close second on turf here, though the form of that race has not worked out as well as we would have liked. Nevertheless, he comes here in form and improving and he can take the prize. Glencalvie attempts to complete a hat-trick in this and that is certainly not beyond the realms of possibility. However, he too has to prove he handles the surface, and with a penalty for his latest win, he looks vulnerable here. Top weight Eccentric loves this track and trip and that is a major plus. The form of his recent second here has worked out well enough, but he has gone up 5lb as a result and that may just anchor him. Of the others Moors Myth looked impressive when landing his maiden at Redcar last time, but it was a much weaker race than this and he may not be up to it, so we will take Polar Magic to cast a spell on his rivals.
