    Verdict

Compton Eclaire, Circus Maximus and Queensberry are three against the field in this stayers handicap and the confident vote goes to Compton Eclaire. The selection was a one paced fourth over a shorter trip behind Zalda last time out. He is sure to be suited by the step up in trip and off what looks a fair mark and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Circus Maximus rates the main danger he remains on a fair mark and a reproduction of his latest staying on second behind Annakita would see him go close. His cause would also be helped by an end to end gallop and he may get that here. Queensberry is another worthy of respect he was caught on the post by Aveiro over 11 furlongs last time. However although he has ran well in defeat over this trip he has never won over it and for that reason he is opposed. Vandenberghe is another with place claims but he has ran over a variety of trips without winning and he looks to have his own ideas about the game so he looks opposable. Of the remainder the book of Darryll Holland for Montosari catches the eye and he is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Compton Eclaire.
