        Verdict

        Downsman returned to the Flat with a better effort at Windsor but both he and last month’s Bath runner-up Russian Rumour would prefer slower ground. Cherry Cola won over 1m6f at Yarmouth and is penalised but Easy Equation has been in the mix on the all-weather lately, though was well beaten by AT THE DOUBLE at Salisbury last summer. The latter subsequently won over today’s distance on fast ground and Sir Mark Prescott’s charge gets the vote on his reappearance.
