Verdict

Maraakib won three times in 2015 but has been racing out of his class in subsequent starts without showing much. He was well beaten at York last time when Red Rannagh started favourite but the latter didn't get the best of runs and had some decent form on fast ground at this level last summer. See The Rock, a regular winner on the Flat in Germany, won over hurdles in November and may find this on the short side. ROTHERWICK, three times a juvenile winner, finished in the first four in eight of his nine starts last season including at a higher level than this. He will have needed his run at Leicester last month and the assessor has finally given him a chance. Blue Revelation landed a touch on the all-weather here in November, his first start for new connections, but was well beaten at Kempton in February. Robert Eddery has had a couple of winners recently and the reasonably consistent Craftmanship is by no means out of this.
