EASTER MATE showed more than enough on Turf in his first season to suggest he should be up to winning a maiden of this nature and he's preferred to the unraced pair Abareeq and Major Assault. Mark Johnston's colt is out of a mare that was placed over a mile in Listed company so he may be more at home over this trip than the sprint-bred Clive Cox newcomer. The remainder with previous experience look a modest bunch and Dalavand is probably best watched on his first start.
